SOCIAL IMPACT

FPF reaches out to the community in various ways. Some are ad hoc and some are more permanent. Some of the permanent outreach efforts are:

MUSHAWEVANA

This is a home for orphans and vulnerable children in Marondera. The children from Mushawevana attend FPF church, and several members of the church are involved in the administration and running of the home.

FAMILY EMPOWERMENT

A ministry aimed at identifying needy families and empowering them to be self-sustaining. This happens through basic education in entrepreneurship, business, and finance management, as well as the provision of start-up capital for small businesses or projects.

Tariro Vocational Centre

An extension of Mushawevana which serves as a halfway house for those over 18 years of age. The children stay at House of Hope, a facility of four dorms, a hall, a kitchen, and matron’s quarters situated on the FPF grounds. Currently, the young adults at TVC are trained in basic agriculture and computers, as well as life skills. The vision is to expand into carpentry, welding, and other vocations.

TARIRO VOCATIONAL CENTRE
